Minimum of 1hr after-dinner, after-lunch, or event presentation speech about the resilience that comes when things keep going wrong, but you keep going.

Starting with living in rural areas (Mid-Norfolk in my teens and early 20s, North Norfolk in my 20s, currently Lowestoft) without being able to drive, including accessing work, leisure, and social events (or managing without any of them!), and exploring a journey of challenges from serious mental illness, through disability, and into unpaid care responsibilities, and all the sights and diversions that lie along that route.

More than a personal monologue, this speech links lived experience to systemic barriers, and low-cost, easy-to-implement changes which would have helped if they’d been in place.
