Description
An hour of Inclusion Awareness, centred through immersive delivery – get to experience what it’s like to be someone who is experiencing sight loss and auditory processing disorder in your workplace, followed by a ‘splash pool’ of facilitated zero-cost, instant-achievement ideas which your experience of ‘walking a mile (or however far your workplace spans) in someone else’s shoes’ has inspired in you.
I am able to provide this in person to buses accessible by public transport in Norwich and Norfolk, or Beccles and Lowestoft in Waveney.
I am registered blind, and also have both tinnitus and Auditory Processing Disorder (APD); I have had tinnitus and APD throughout my life, but only found out about my sight loss in 2021; I am completely blind in my right eye, and have 40% vision, mostly centre-field vision, in my left eye, with a prognosis that I will gradually lose this over the next 10-20yrs. I’m 38, so, understandably, this has been a bit of a curve ball – and has resulted in the loss of two jobs since my diagnosis, which inspired me to set up The Productive Pessimist Ltd, a consultancy specialising in Inclusive Design and Practice, and Strategic Management (particularly change and crisis management), which comes from my professional background in transformation and continuous service improvement.
